update on JackieO

Jackie does wonderfully well with dogs of all sizes. She met the 5# Japanese Chin and couldn't have cared less about her. She also had a fun time with the 20 month of Dobie that is bigger that all of my greys. JackieO and Kobi had a fun time chasing each other in the yard and had a real good snooze when they came in from playing. Jackie is a gentle, sweet soul and the family that will adopt her will need to earn her trust, but when you do, you will have a little girl that will shower you with kisses and affection and you will know your patience paid off.

She is a doll baby.

Little Miss Pillbox Hat (JackieO)

Well, little Miss JackieO knows how to do stairs. I was just getting ready to show her and she decided to follow Sukey and up she went. She also mastered coming down on all fours, which is a big plus. JackieO has also learned to sit for her dinner or treats. She learned this in two days. Tonight when I went to feed her, before I was even able to put down her bowl, she was sitting. I was a very proud foster mom.

Her black coat is getting nice and shiny and the hair on her nose is all filled in. You would never know that she had boo boos on that needlenose. Jackie is doing great with her 3 foster siblings. They can share food, treats and toys without incident. Tomorrow Jackie will meet a 5 pound Japanese Chin, a 35 pound shelter dog and an 18 month old huge Doberman pup. All these dogs belong to my children and it will be interesting to see them all together. Maybe my son will be able to take a picture of Jackie and the visiting dogs.

stay tuned for more on my "first lady".

what a girl!

You would think that Jackie O had lived in a home her entire life. She has lovely house manners. Eats politely, takes cookies gently, loves tummy rubs and is not too sure what to make of the snow that is falling. Jackie is a sweet hound that would make her a welcome addition to any household.
Could that household be yours?

What a sweet girl

Blackjack Ohio, lovingly called JackieO, came to me to foster on 1/5/11. She settled in almost immediately, finding a soft bed in her xpen to lay on. The sores that were on her nose (you can see on her bio picture) are just about gone so you can start seeing how beautiful she is. Jackie is not an alpha dog, she tends to follow my pack and is learning the daily routine. She likes to line up in the morning for her peanut butter treat and she figured out that the vitamins do taste good. She is a good eater, not picky at all and when she is out of the xpen, she finds another comfy bed to lay on. Jackie loves to run in the yard, she runs in all directions, which is probably why she only raced 10 times, but she is fast and beautiful to watch. Watch for more updates on this precious girl.

People Lover

Blackjack is such a sweet girl. She is curious about her surroundings, but really enjoys attention from people. We spent some time with her in the kennel recently. We let her play with a toy to see how she would react. She sniffed it a little, but then decided the affection was more fun than the toy.

A beauty!

This girl is going to be such a beauty. Just wait, and you'll see. Life on the track was a little rough. With all the TLC she's getting now, she's going to be gorgeous. And she has a sweet, beautiful personality to match.

Blackjack Ohio is a sweet girl. I think if she could talk she would. She looks at you and you can almost tell what she's thinking. As she settles into her new life off the track, she's going to be drop dead gorgeous.
